Missy Hampton has spent 50 years immersed in every facet of the dance industry—performance, choreography, dance education, and adjudication. She has taught all styles of dance across the U.S., creating numerous top award–winning routines and inspiring dancers of all ages. A certified member of Dance Masters of America in tap and jazz, Missy also brings extensive experience in acro. She has served on the board of the St. Louis Chapter of DMA and continues her own training at national teacher conventions, learning with renowned artists such as Mia Michaels, Doug Caldwell, and Jason Samuels Smith, just to name a few. Missy currently judges at competitions and dance team auditions nationwide. Her teaching philosophy centers on artistry, technique, and building self-confidence, all fueled by her genuine love of dance. In addition to her work as an educator and judge, she serves the wider dance community as Director of Marketing for Laylas Dance Costumes. Her career has taken her all over the world and she brings her passion for dance to the judges’ table today.
